The heads of Africa’s most feared wildlife, the Big 5 – the lion, elephant, rhino, leopard and buffalo, are beautifully depicted on this original and handcrafted ostrich eggshell lamp. The back features a cutout of the African continent. The attention to detail in the carvings is spectacular and the lamp, set on a freestanding metal base, would grace any bedroom or living room. Certificates of authenticity supplied on request.

Mark is a designer from Dysselsdorp in the Western Cape. For 16 years Mark has been creating inspiring designs and carving them into ostrich egg shells. Taught by George Malgas, Mark has mastered the skill of using dentistry tools to delicately drill the beautiful imagery into the shells. He finds joy in seeing the end result of his work and the satisfaction from happy customers.
