Underneath a wandering geometric design of triangles, the beautifully depicted heads of the lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo and leopard (Africa’s Big 5) are carved into the spherical shape of an ostrich eggshell. Emitting a rich light, the handcrafted lamps are set on freestanding metal bases and add a rather special touch and glow to any room of the house. Certificates of authenticity supplied on request.

Metal Lamp stands, available in matt black or white, are 180mm high.

Mark is a designer from Dysselsdorp in the Western Cape. For 16 years Mark has been creating inspiring designs and carving them into ostrich egg shells. Taught by George Malgas, Mark has mastered the skill of using dentistry tools to delicately drill the beautiful imagery into the shells. He finds joy in seeing the end result of his work and the satisfaction from happy customers.
