The rich detail on this ostrich eggshell lamp is heartwarming as is the glow from the yellow egg. A geometric design of interlinking squares and triangles, with circles within, divides the egg with a circle depicting the planet etched on each side with the African continent within that and then a further dimension is added with a cut-out of a bushman figure. Certificates of authenticity supplied on request.

Mark is a designer from Dysselsdorp in the Western Cape. For 16 years Mark has been creating inspiring designs and carving them into ostrich egg shells. Taught by George Malgas, Mark has mastered the skill of using dentistry tools to delicately drill the beautiful imagery into the shells. He finds joy in seeing the end result of his work and the satisfaction from happy customers.
