Decidedly a unique lamp, the ostrich eggshell lamp depicts the African bush and the Big 5 – lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo and leopard – that live there. All stand out in stark black relief to the background of indigenous trees. The animals are captured in either motion or standing and are strongly depicted. The eggs are set on freestanding metal stands. Certificates of authenticity supplied on request.

Metal Lamp stands, available in matt black or white, are 180mm high.

Mark is a designer from Dysselsdorp in the Western Cape. For 16 years Mark has been creating inspiring designs and carving them into ostrich egg shells. Taught by George Malgas, Mark has mastered the skill of using dentistry tools to delicately drill the beautiful imagery into the shells. He finds joy in seeing the end result of his work and the satisfaction from happy customers.
