The “Big 5 Circle” ostrich eggshell lamps are completely bespoke. The different variants capture one of the Big 5 animals of Africa in full relief with cut-out edges allowing some light to escape, and the balance of animals portrayed around the base of the shell. Each is set on an elegantly turned based.

Metal Lamp stands, available in matt black or white on request , are 180mm high.

Mark is a designer from Dysselsdorp in the Western Cape. For 16 years Mark has been creating inspiring designs and carving them into ostrich egg shells. Taught by George Malgas, Mark has mastered the skill of using dentistry tools to delicately drill the beautiful imagery into the shells. He finds joy in seeing the end result of his work and the satisfaction from happy customers.
