Africa’s most feared animals – the Big 5 – are carefully carved into the delicate ostrich eggshell by dedicated artisans. Set between a stylish geometric design of triangles that runs around the top and base of the eggshell, the lion, rhino, leopard, elephant and buffalo capture the imagination as they stare proudly out towards the room. Each egg is set on a simple metal stand. Certificates of authenticity supplied on request.

Metal Lamp stands, available in matt black or white, are 180mm high.

Mark is a designer from Dysselsdorp in the Western Cape. For 16 years Mark has been creating inspiring designs and carving them into ostrich egg shells. Taught by George Malgas, Mark has mastered the skill of using dentistry tools to delicately drill the beautiful imagery into the shells. He finds joy in seeing the end result of his work and the satisfaction from happy customers.
