A rich and detailed natural background of indigenous trees and mountains is provided for this skilful depiction of one of Africa’s most famous creatures – the elephant. Facing forward with long ivory tusks and beautifully carved trunk, the elephant’s spirit is perfectly captured on this unique ostrich eggshell lamp. Each ostrich eggshell lamp is set on a freestanding metal base. Certificates of authenticity supplied on request.

Mark is a designer from Dysselsdorp in the Western Cape. For 16 years Mark has been creating inspiring designs and carving them into ostrich egg shells. Taught by George Malgas, Mark has mastered the skill of using dentistry tools to delicately drill the beautiful imagery into the shells. He finds joy in seeing the end result of his work and the satisfaction from happy customers.
