These ostrich eggshell lamps, carefully carved by South African artisans, display beautiful depictions of one of Africa’s most graceful animals, the gentle giraffe. With a cutout of the African continent on the back of the egg allowing the warm glow to escape, the egg boasts two elegant giraffes on the front. The ostrich eggshell lamps are securely based on a freestanding metal stand. Certificates of authenticity supplied on request.

Metal Lamp stands, available in matt black or white, are 180mm high.

Mark is a designer from Dysselsdorp in the Western Cape. For 16 years Mark has been creating inspiring designs and carving them into ostrich egg shells. Taught by George Malgas, Mark has mastered the skill of using dentistry tools to delicately drill the beautiful imagery into the shells. He finds joy in seeing the end result of his work and the satisfaction from happy customers.
