Evocative of the beautiful African bush, home to wildlife as diverse as the gnu and the giraffe, this freestanding lamp is handcarved from ostrich eggshell and boasts a beautiful depiction of a gangly giraffe drinking on the front and ‘spooning’ giraffes on the back. Each egg is set on a simple metal stand and exudes a warm glow complimenting any stylish bedroom or lounge. Certificates of authenticity supplied on request.

Mark is a designer from Dysselsdorp in the Western Cape. For 16 years Mark has been creating inspiring designs and carving them into ostrich egg shells. Taught by George Malgas, Mark has mastered the skill of using dentistry tools to delicately drill the beautiful imagery into the shells. He finds joy in seeing the end result of his work and the satisfaction from happy customers.
