The beautiful African hummingbird, perched on a branch, has been delicately carved onto the front of this African ostrich eggshell while on the back, glorious flowers abound. Beautifully and painstakingly done, the hand-carved ostrich egg sits atop an elegant metal lamp stand providing a unique contribution to any room in the house with its warm, amber glow at night. Certificates of authenticity supplied on request.

Mark is a designer from Dysselsdorp in the Western Cape. For 16 years Mark has been creating inspiring designs and carving them into ostrich egg shells. Taught by George Malgas, Mark has mastered the skill of using dentistry tools to delicately drill the beautiful imagery into the shells. He finds joy in seeing the end result of his work and the satisfaction from happy customers.
