One of South Africa’s most iconic flowers, the Protea, in its geometric perfection, is carefully carved into specially prepared ostrich eggshells, to create this unique lamp. The soothing design and warm glow provided by the lamp will enhance the ambience of any room in the house. The lamps are freestanding and each egg sits atop a slender metal stand. These lamps can also be made as pendants upon request.

Metal Lamp stands, available in matt black or white, are 180mm high.

Mark is a designer from Dysselsdorp in the Western Cape. For 16 years Mark has been creating inspiring designs and carving them into ostrich egg shells. Taught by George Malgas, Mark has mastered the skill of using dentistry tools to delicately drill the beautiful imagery into the shells. He finds joy in seeing the end result of his work and the satisfaction from happy customers.
