Heartstoppingly beautiful, this carefully carved and etched ostrich eggshell depicts the simple lines of a classic teardrop flowing into symmetrical swirling lines around the African egg. Placed on a simple metal stand, the richness of the design and the warm ambient light provided by the glow of the standard-sized tealight candle through the egg creates a special ambience suitable for any space. This tealight can also be made into a pendant upon request.

Made by Mark

Mark is a designer from Dysselsdorp in the Western Cape. For 16 years Mark has been creating inspiring designs and carving them into ostrich egg shells. Taught by George Malgas, Mark has mastered the skill of using dentistry tools to delicately drill the beautiful imagery into the shells. He finds joy in seeing the end result of his work and the satisfaction from happy customers.
